Lisa C. Stearns

Lisa C. Stearns is an executive vice president at The Hubbell Group and has more than 25 years of experience in communications. Over the past 17 years with the firm, she has provided counsel to some of the world’s largest Fortune 500 companies and best-known brands as well as start-up ventures and nonprofit organizations.

In one way or another, Lisa touches each and every client of The Hubbell Group, serving as a strategic advisor, writer, editor or sounding board. The industries with which she has worked range from consumer products, medical technology and manufacturing to energy, defense and aerospace. However, her passion and greatest experience is in two industries at the forefront of regulatory and market change: Healthcare and financial services. She currently leads The Hubbell Group’s client service teams focused on healthcare, wealth management and investment banking.

An experienced writer, Lisa crafts everything from in-depth thought leadership, whitepapers and speeches to blog commentary and tweets. Articles she has written have appeared in newspapers such as The New York Times, The Financial Times and The Boston Globe and in trade publications including Healthcare Financial Management, Managed Healthcare Executive, Hedge World, Global Custody News, ABA Trusts and Investments and Fund Accounting. Prior to joining The Hubbell Group in 1995, Lisa was a marketing executive for five years, managing advertising, public relations and promotions for a national hospitality company. Previously, she was an account supervisor at one of Boston’s largest advertising and public relations firms, where she worked with national and regional consumer, telecommunications and financial services clients. She began her career as a writer and editor at an international newspaper syndicate based in Greenwich, Connecticut.

Originally from Oklahoma and upstate New York, Lisa graduated from The College of Wooster in Ohio with a degree in English and a focus on 19th Century literature. As much as is possible in New England, she enjoys being in, on or near the water and can be found boating off Cape Cod and the islands of Massachusetts and Rhode Island.
